slate v0.4.0 Released
June 7th, 2007 — 10:00 pm —This evening we completed the upgrade of slate to v0.4.0. Really big visual changes to the system* along with some pretty significant functional changes:
- The ability to create custom roles has been removed and we’re now offering system defined roles that fit more into how people are using the system (e.g. everyone is practically an admin)
- A comprehensive log of system activity per site with an RSS feed
- A completely redesigned content editor with a new method of handling versions along with an improved snippet editor
- For us system admins we also have a much more robust user management tool
- An upgrade to Rails 1.2.3 including RESTful routes
Any issues or questions just drop us a link at slate@mail.wvu.edu. Come Monday Chris and I will look to the future and map out the next roughly two month cycle.
- – Screenshots coming tomorrow. For now I want to see the wife, watch US vs. Guatemala in the Gold Cup and catch some ZZZs.
