Happy Anniversary, slate!
June 1st, 2007 — 3:51 pm —Pretty big day for those of us who work on and with slate. We celebrated with a little ice cream at Cold Stone. A look back…
May 31, 2006
We tagged slate at 0.1.0 and opened it up so folks on campus could use the system. We just reached our deadline of “going production in May.”

We have 39 sites live within the system and another 10 or so in the pipeline. We’ve had eight releases with the ninth just around the corner. We’ve added to, redone, removed from and tweaked about every part of the system. Check out the screenshots for proof. We even released a small part of our system to the outside world (and their will be a new release for that shortly as well). Just big changes.
It’s been a fun ride so far and I’m sure it’s only going to continue. Thanks to everyone who has given us feedback and support both during the year and, especially, before that. The biggest thanks of course goes to Chris for making my “small” dream a reality.
Maybe on May 31, 2008 we’ll be celebrating N number of sites outside WVU using slate ;)
