Blog Guidelines Released, Sign-up Now!
February 20th, 2007 — 1:50 pm —In v0.3.0 we introduced blogs as a component to slate. We’ve limited their use until now. The guidelines covering the use of blogs by departments and colleges has now been posted . With that we can give access to approved groups interested in using the new service. You can register for your blog using SimpleForms. Note: Registering DOES NOT mean you get a blog. Each request will be reviewed.
For those folks already using slate for your department pages (all of you reading this?) we can integrate your blog straight into your site. One of the key uses for some groups will be as a news release management tool. For anyone reading this who is outside of slate we can set you up with a generic template based on Blogging From Abroad .
There will have to be some additions to individual themes to get content to display properly but we’ll work through requests as fast as we can.
