15 sites, 26,000+ page views, & 9,000+ LOC
February 11th, 2007 — 4:05 pm —We’ve hit a minor milestone this week. Two more sites have gone live bringing us to a grand total of 15 production sites in slate. If you’re curious who else is using the system check out the list of sites using slate .
At the same time we’re now tracking every site (except, Extension’s, sorry) via Google Analytics . In looking at the statistics for last week (Feb. 4 to Feb. 10) we had over 26,000 page views during that time period. Discounting WVU Downloads Parents Club just ekes it out over the English deparment for bragging rights. If you haven’t gotten instructions on how to access statistical reports for your site please email us at slate@mail.wvu.edu and we’ll make sure you’re set-up. Not only are we doing page views but with v0.3.1 we’re also tracking downloads.
We’ve also taken the time to review the slate codebase and we now conservatively estimate that we have 9,000+ lines of code. For those familiar with this type of thing we’re only counting models and controllers. We’ve left plugins, views, and themes out of the count.
We should have a few more sites in slate over the next month. I think it’s safe to say that we’re no longer a pilot project anymore. We’ll have to update that introductory text you all see when logging into slate.
